The Pearl Standard

The details behind your agreed clean, there for you to see.

Your agreed scope identifies the rooms and services included. Items specific to bond and deep cleans are marked in the checklist. There are 50 checks in total.

Bathrooms

Where agents and inspections look first. Eleven checks, and the soap scum work is dwell-timed, not scrubbed dry.

  2. Tiles and grout scrubbed; mould treated on deep and bond cleans
  3. Shower base, drain and recesses detailed

  9. Exhaust fan cover dusted and wiped
  10. Towel rails, hooks and fittings detailed
  11. Floor edges, corners behind the door, then mopped out

03 / 10 checks

Living & Bedrooms

Ten checks across every living and sleeping space, including the surfaces most cleans skip.

  1. All accessible surfaces dusted top-down
  2. Ceiling fans and light fittings dusted
  3. Cornices and visible cobwebs removed
  4. Skirting boards wiped
  5. Power points, switches and door handles sanitised
  6. Doors and door frames spot-cleaned

  8. Wardrobe fronts and tracks; interiors and shelving on bond cleans
  9. Under and behind accessible furniture
  10. Beds made, or linen changed where fresh linen is left out

04 / 7 checks

Floors & Edges

Seven checks. Edges and corners are done by hand. A vacuum head cannot reach them, so they are where a clean visibly fails.

  1. Hard floors vacuumed then mopped with the correct solution for the surface
  2. Carpets vacuumed including under accessible furniture
  3. Carpet edges and corners detailed by hand
  4. Stair treads, risers and nosings

05 / 6 checks

Glass, Fixtures & Detail

Six checks that separate a tidy room from a clean one.

  1. Internal windows cleaned; external ground-floor glass on bond cleans
  2. Window tracks and sills vacuumed then wiped
  3. Flyscreens brushed where removable
  4. Blinds dusted; venetians detailed on deep and bond cleans
  5. Light switches, fittings and shades
  6. Air-conditioner filters and vents on deep and bond cleans

06 / 4 checks

Finish & Handover

Four checks after the cleaning stops. This is the part almost nobody does, and it is the part you notice.

  1. Full walk-through against this checklist by the lead cleaner
  2. Photographs of the completed kitchen, bathrooms and floors
  3. Anything we could not complete, and why, in writing
  4. Property secured and locked as we found it
